Depending on the printer model, the cutting function for TSC devices can be activated via the driver. However, the settings stored in the driver and thus in the VPD print template are not sufficient for this. When printing, an additional control that has been integrated with version 11 in order to support the cutting function for TSC devices is required. For this, a protected print template has to be created for the desired printer and the setting Use server-side print queue settings when printing has to be set. (see figure: steadyPRINT: Create print template for TSC label printers). Für das Template genügen die Standardeinstellungen, da bei der Ausführung die druckserverseitigen Druckeinstellung Verwendung finden.

Now, the printer settings have to be locally set in the correct user context on the respective print server. The following two options are available:

o | Now enter mmc.exe to the open command prompt, confirm the entry and then add the Snap-In Print Management in the open MMC console. |
o | Now set the desired print settings (see figure: steadyPRINT: Create print settings for TSC label printer) for the cutting function via the user settings of the printer (Tab General). |
