Finishing Options

Multifunction printers offer functions that go far beyond the actual printing process of documents. By means of the finishing options, documents can for example be punched and stapled.

supports the finishing options of punching and stapling with the following default values:

 

 

Punching Option

Description

Punching LeftEdge

Punching at the left edge

Punching RightEdge

Punching at the right edge

Punching TopEdge

Punching at the top edge

Punching BottomEdge

Punching at the bottom edge

 

Stapling  Options

Description

Staple TopLeft

One staple in the upper left edge

Staple DualLeft

Two staples at the left edge

 

 

 

These standards are offered to each user as an option for selection within the VPD driver dialog (see figure VPD2 Print settings: Selection of punching standards):

Multifunction printers can offer further options for punching and stapling that go beyond the default options. They are imported and assigned in via the Center.

 

The administration of the Finishing Options is available under [Printer] > VPD > Finishing Options. Here you have the option to create individual finishing options by means of the manufacturer printer driver.

As soon as individual finishing options are created, the default options are hidden and no longer displayed to the user.
