The following requirements have to be fulfilled in order to run steadyPRINT on client and server side:

1. Print server
   • If you want to install steadyPRINT on the print server: as of Microsoft Windows Server 2016
   • If you want to use steadyPRINT to access a print server (e.g. to read out printers): as of Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2
   • If you want to use driverless printing (with steadyPRINT VPD): as of Microsoft Windows Server 2016
2. Active Directory as of Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2
3. Microsoft SQL data base as of version 2012 (Express version possible)
4. Client operating system as of Microsoft Windows 10 (32- and 64-bit)
5. Terminal server operating system as of Microsoft Windows Server 2016
6. Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8.
7. ASP.NET Core Runtime 7.0 Hosting Bundle (WebCenter, SecurePrint, API)
8. steadyPRINT OMS for SAP on print server: Microsoft C++ Runtime DLLs version 14.x (this version is contained in Visual C++ Redistributable package for Visual Studio 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2022)

Installation Requirements

1. Download of the current version via the homepage: https://www.steadyprint.com/download-en
2. SQL-Server (as of 2012):
   • If the SQL Server is available
     • TCP/IP must be activated
     • SQL- and Windows authentication must be active
     • SQL Management Studio should be installed
   • If the SQL Server must be installed
     • SQL Server as of 2008 up to current version
     • SQL default installation with SQL- and Windows authentication
     • Install SQL Management Studio
     • Activate TCP/IP
3. For the steadyPRINT components .NET Framework 4.8 and ASP.NET Core Runtime 6.0 Hosting Bundle (WebCenter, SecurePrint, API) are required
4. For VPD a share is required on which the “authenticated users” have write permissions
5. Computers must have joined a domain
6. Test print server (as of Windows Server 2016)
7. Test client (as of Windows 10) or terminal server (as of Windows Server 2016)
