Create BranchOffice printer assignments by the user

Description of the problem

We would like to exclusively use steadyPRINT BranchOffice printer assignments in future. The end user himself should be able to create them via the steadyPRINT Agent. At the moment this is only possible for Windows printer assignments via the Agent. An assignment via the steadyPRINT Center, however, works without problems. Could you provide further assistance?

Solution

To avoid that end users mistakenly create the incorrect assignment type, the creation of BranchOffice printer assginments via the steadyPRINT Agent was disabled by default. If you activate steadyPRINT Center > File > Settings > Agent profile > [Profile] > User functions > “Add Windows BranchOffice printer“, the share for the user will be enabled.

Note: On the client side, BranchOffice printer assignments can only be created in a local Workstation session. For a terminal server session, this can only be done by the administrator via the steadyPRINT Center.
