Default printer is not maintained for vDirect assignment

Description of the problem

In our company steadyPRINT vDirect printers are exclusively assigned via groups. In this context we have noticed that the default printer set by the user is not maintained after the restart. Can you provide further assistance?

Solution

In general, default printers can be directly stored for groups.
In order to allow users the storage of the desired default printer it is necessary to enable the setting “Set local default printer” in the Agent profiles under steadyPRINT Center > File > Settings > Agent-Profile > [Agent-Profil] > User functions.
